The Department:

The Brand Marketing Department is responsible for the development of the brand strategy and communication plan.  We champion the brand and bring it to life throughout the business and within the business strategy.

Purpose of the role:

The Senior Sponsorship Account Manager will work with the Global Sponsorship Lead on a suite of high-profile sponsorships including some of the biggest leagues and teams across the globe. Within their portfolio, they’ll create and implement the global sponsorship activation strategy, effectively utilising all rights whilst managing the global activation budget.  They’ll deliver integrated multi-channel campaigns that appeal to existing and prospective customers ensuring every opportunity to promote the brand is maximized. They’ll support with new market’s activation strategies as the brand continues to grow and be responsible for regular performance reporting.

You will be responsible for:

  • Taking full responsibility for the performance of their portfolio of sponsorships
  • Managing the day to day operational requirements of each sponsorship ensuring all rights are delivered, activated and tracked
  • Ensuring effective management and planning of all sponsorship rights
  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing the performance of each sponsorship adapting to improve results
  • Working alongside Product, Brand, PR, Advertising, Digital and Content teams to identify new and innovative ways to integrate the product and content portfolio into sponsorship strategy
  • Working with wider Brand, Marketing & Analytics team to identify new ways to integrate and use sponsorships as a catalyst for brand objectives
  • Ensuring activity is delivered within budget and continuously look for efficiencies
  • Co-ordinating multiple projects and events simultaneously
  • Assisting in the negotiation and contractual processes of partnership and sponsorship deals. Making recommendations on new commercial opportunities as well as exit plans, where appropriate.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
  • Proven experience of managing major sports sponsorships, sports events, brand sponsorships or brand events
  • Devising & pitching activation ideas for consumer campaigns and events
  • Excellent understanding of maximising televised brand visibility
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrable ability to overcome obstacles and be proactive in finding creative solutions
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic and commercial thinking in rights activation
  • Experience in delivering & devising multi-platform branding & engagement strategies for sponsorships

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
  • Experienced in writing detailed design briefs
  • Interest in sports industry
  • Experience and competency in all marketing disciplines (ATL, BTL, Digital, Experiential, Media)
  • An understanding of TV viewership metrics and how to evaluate
  • Knowledge of digital marketing processes
  • Ability to secure and develop long-term sponsorship partners
