In this role you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the success of Fourthline and drive our company’s mission of fighting financial crime. As a Data Analyst Intern, you’ll join our fantastic Data team and help enhance the self-service data user experience by creating dashboards, building data models, and providing product teams with data-driven insights.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to a variety of projects (e.g., Product Analytics, Fraud Insights, Automation) using data to answer complex questions about our products and customers.
- Support the development of dashboards (using Looker) and data models to deliver actionable insights for different teams.
- Assist in building and optimizing data pipelines using SQL (dbt) for analytics use cases.
- Work on improving metrics and identifying opportunities for process optimization to enhance decision-making and self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other teams to identify and resolve data quality issues.
What you bring to the table:
- MSc student in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field at a university in the Netherlands.
- Available for at least 6 months, starting January 2024 or earlier, for a minimum of 4 days per week.
- Strong data and analytics skills, with experience writing complex SQL queries and performing detailed analyses.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal), with the ability to present and explain statistically sound insights to product teams.
- A fast learner who is excited about working with new technologies and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while collaborating with diverse, international teams.
Bonus Points For:
- Understanding of databases (relational and column-based) and ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Experience working with Python or R.
