As a Regulatory Compliance Manager you’ll be supporting the delivery of all day-to-day duties concerning the regulated market(s) assigned to you and general business requirements, including ensuring that Betway meets its reporting obligations. 

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing a solid knowledge base of legislation, regulations and technical documents
• Assisting with ensuring Betway is compliant with applicable regulations by providing the business with advice and support
• Carrying out a programme of monitoring for compliance risks
• Compilation, maintenance and submission reports, returns and notifications as required to meet the expectations of regulators
• Management and oversight of the Betway website(s)
• Supervision and management of change controls
• Liaising and maintaining close working relationships with third party companies involved in the operations of Betway’s licences
• Assisting in ad hoc duties as and when required

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
• Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
• Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
• Exceptional English language skills – both written and verbal
• Knowledge of legislative frameworks and regulation of the online gambling industry, specifically Great Britain
• Experience in gambling regulatory compliance
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a high volume of tasks
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to think out of the box, proactively investigate and resolve problems efficiently

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

• In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
• Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
• Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
• Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
• A second European language such as Spanish or German
• Experience of working in a process driven environment
• Compliance qualifications by ICA
