As a fast-growing B2B industrial manufacturing company, we are looking for a Business Development Manager  with a Digital Products focus based out of our global headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. As a Digital Business Development Manager, you have a passion for understanding customer challenges and partnering with them to bring innovative solutions to their environments. You are the consummate team player, adept at managing relationships, collaborating, and influencing across a variety of customers and organizations all with a strong focus on outcomes. Successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic customer partnerships, and working closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The output of your work is happy and engaged customers and prospects. You will work to develop the sales opportunity pipeline and understand the user communities’ needs and desires. You are a sales and development strategist who will translate customer pain into actionable value narratives, use cases and requirements. You will articulate and drive the sales process to bring on Rite-Hite ONE customers, facilitate seamless customer onboarding experiences and nurture the existing customer base as we deliver new features through our quarterly release process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Develop the Rite-Hite ONE opportunity pipeline in partnership with Rite-Hite Distribution network.
  • Forecast and drive the end-to-end sales process for our Control Tower application and future solutions.
  • Lead handoff from sales process to Customer Success team for implementation.
  • Educate and enable our distribution partners in effectively selling and connecting new customers to the Rite-Hite ONE platform.
  • Partner with the Rite-Hite Customer Experience team to present and educate our customers when they visit headquarters.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to foster feedback from our customers and create our product innovation roadmap.
  • Maintain customer and prospect activity in Salesforce.
  • Represent Rite-Hite Digital Solutions at industry events and conferences.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software business development, or sales experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully pursuing new business opportunities and/or closing deals.
  • Experience working in a fast-moving, agile environment and sales team.
  • Experience configuring and demonstrating software.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong computer proficiency and general knowledge of IoT technology is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain software, Automation or Material Handling equipment is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of a complete software sales process.
  • Capability to lead discovery with our customers.
  • Execute a methodical sales process.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • A high degree of confidence in leading the presentation of software and a comprehensive pre-sale through onboarding process.
  • Up to 50% travel, when necessary, including overnight trips.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.
