The Sales Administration Specialist is responsible for assisting in various commercial activities and working with the sales team to optimize distributor relationships.

Essential Functions- Roles/Responsibilities
 

Work cross functionally to gather financial, sustainability or corporate data to assist commercial teams with RFI and RFQ completion.

Provide quotes to customers in a timely manner utilizing independent judgement and knowledge of market economics to drive decision making.

Secure sample requests across the network in a timely manager while thoughtfully coordinating around plant and other cross-functional teams’ schedules.

Utilize SharePoint to access drawings based on customer specific requests.

Assist with processing sample requests as needed by Sales team and provide bottle drawings as requested by customers.

Manage customer accounts as assigned by manager and utilize CRM for all sales related activities

Quote all necessary opportunities that come in, ensuring margin thresholds are met.

Assist in the development and improvement of company provided quoting tools, to enhance efficiency.

Develop relationships with accounts and drive value exchanges when possible.

Required Education and Experience

  • . Strong ability to identify and communicate value proposition and create customer alignment
  • Experience in direct sales and account management with a demonstrated track record for success with new business development (rigid plastics a plus) and business retention
  • Ability to work effectively across various business functions and disciplines
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PP)
  • Ability to utilize independent judgement when providing quotes to customers
  • Maintain security and privacy around customer owned information

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Prior experience with key packaging/container distributors are a plus (includes NACD)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field a plus
