Location: Fargo or Grand Forks, North Dakota - Hybrid schedule based in Fargo office

gener8tor fosters innovation ecosystems through its accelerator programs, venture capital funds, and skills-based workforce initiatives. With a strong track record of supporting high-growth companies, gener8tor has expanded across the U.S. and internationally, building partnerships with governments, corporations, universities and economic development organizations to drive entrepreneurship and economic impact. gener8tor operates accelerators across 45 cities, 25 states and 3 countries, working with more than 300 startups per year. To date, gener8tor has worked with more than 2,000 startups that have cumulatively gone on to raise more than $2.9B in financing and employ more than 14,000 people.

gener8tor is a nationally recognized startup accelerator as well as entrepreneurial support organization and is seeking an Investment Accelerator Intern to support our gener8tor North Dakota Investment Accelerator, an accelerator powered by gener8tor, which invests up to $100K in up to ten high-growth startups per year (cohorts of five).

As a gener8tor North Dakota Intern, you will work closely with the gener8tor North Dakota Managing Director for 15 hours per week. Tasks include:

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on North Dakota (and surrounding region) startups and founders for the purpose of PR and content creation
• Support the planning and execution of accelerator programming and events, including scheduling, preparing materials, and assisting with logistics
• Collaborate with the gener8tor team on broader initiatives and team projects
• Assist with action items as assigned. Typical responsibilities include:
• Business development, branding, marketing, and sales
• Analyzing product and market trends, identifying target customers, and generating leads
• Developing literature, marketing campaigns, and presentations to help startups build a brand and engage with customers
• Digital sales and marketing
• Assist with executing the logistical aspects of the gener8tor ND programs
• Recruit applicants to the gener8tor North Dakota programs
• Assist with alumni monthly 1:1s and mentor/investor stewardship

Requirements

• Interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and building community within the North Dakota ecosystem
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and tackle a variety of projects and tasks
• Curiosity about venture capital, accelerators, and supporting early-stage founders
• Strong communication skills and comfort connecting with new people
• Ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple responsibilities
• Collaborative team player with a positive, hands-on attitude
• Flexibility to occasionally assist with evening or weekend events
• Based in Fargo or Grand Forks, North Dakota
• Experience with Hubspot or equivalent CRM
• Enthusiasm to learn from and contribute to a mission-driven team that supports diverse founders and builds startup ecosystems
