Position Highlights:

  • Position: Family Medicine Academic Faculty Position
  • Location: Evanston
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time


What you will do:

  • Participate equally with all core faculty members for inpatient coverage, supervising residents and students on the Family Medicine Inpatient service (approximately 8 - 10 weeks per year).

  • Precept a minimum of  2 half-day sessions per week.

  • Teaching of residents and medical students, as assigned.

  • Assist the Residency Program Director and Associate Program Director in designing and implementing

    didactic curriculum.

  • Administrative duties for the residency program, as assigned and to include:

  • Attend required residency faculty development sessions.

  • Serve as advisor for up to 4 residents annually, which includes completing quarterly meetings and completing required advisement ad Individualized Learning Plans and evaluation forms.

  • Complete resident evaluation forms in Med Hub within one week of receipt.

  • Prepare and deliver one lecture per month at family medicine resident didactics

  • Attend resident didactics Wednesday afternoons.

  • Attend Wednesday morning required Erie administrative meetings and required NorthShore faculty meetings.

  • Review, coordinate, and update assigned curricula yearly and attend all residency curriculum meetings

  • Mentor one resident to complete one Help Desk Answer per year for the Family Physicians Inquiries Network.

  • Provide clinical services (0.3 FTE=three half days per week =12 hour) Not applicable during the weeks of inpatient service, vacation, and CME.

Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the PD to meet the needs of the residency program
