About the role
As a Junior Casualty Underwriter you will learn to develop insurance solutions for companies in a wide range of industries for public, product and employer’s liability, product recall and environmental pollution. Due to the international AIG network you will work with companies in a national and international environment offering solutions globally. You will be part of a team of six motivated Casualty underwriters and will report to the Casualty Profit Center Manager in The Netherlands.
In accordance with our casualty insurance product guidelines and pricing tools you will analyze risks, determine appropriate terms and calculate premiums for renewing business or new business opportunities. You will be building valuable relationships with distribution partners and clients by explaining and negotiating offers, developing new business opportunities and pro-actively sharing your professional knowledge and expertise.

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is eager to learn, takes initiative, good in building internal and external relationships and is flexible in the way of working. We value a
diverse background of experience, culture, and thought. Our ideal candidate has excelled in previous work/internship experience, demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, possesses analytical skills and is a team player. Experience in underwriting or insurance environment is a plus, not a must.
