Job Description Summary:

Senior Consultants are a critical component of the success of OhioHealth providers, and therefore of helping drive OhioHealth’s growth in alignment with system strategy. They develop meaningful relationships with referring providers/practices in an assigned geographic territory within the OhioHealth market; seek to maintain/improve provider loyalties within and to the system; and support growth in revenue and market share in both inpatient and outpatient services through promotion of OhioHealth providers and services. Responsibilities include creating successful pathways for physician productivity in their respective markets; conducting peer interactions and services education on behalf of physician specialists and content experts; and addressing and resolving issues on behalf of employed and independent providers in their interactions with the OhioHealth system.

Territory: This role supports the Grove City Hospital, Doctor's Hospital and referral areas surrounding.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

  • Field of Study:  Arts
  • Years of experience:   5 years minimum

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Strong history of working well with providers and office staff or in a similar environment.  Independent self-starter with demonstrated ability to understand and meet customer needs & expectations in an exceptional manner; strong growth/sales orientation. Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.  Minimum 5 years of sales and/or customer/patient facing clinical experience. 

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

Masters’ or Nursing Degree (MBA/MHA/RN). Work experience in a similar job at another hospital system. 7-10 years in sales and/or clinical experience.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Provider Onboarding:  Coordinate with the OhioHealth Clinical Enterprise, Marketing, and other relevant teams to enable the successful onboarding of newly employed providers in establishing their practices, learning the OhioHealth system, and forming relationships with care sites, other OhioHealth clinicians, and relevant independent physician offices.


Provider Network Optimization: Assist providers and OHCE in executing strategies and campaigns to ensure that employed physicians reach targeted productivity levels. Create activities and relationships designed to minimize leakage outside of/improve referrals into the OhioHealth system. Actively work to improve strong relationships with valued Clinically Integrated Network and independent physician groups. Develop & support provider-based education around OhioHealth providers, specialties, and service offerings. Identify new growth & promotion opportunities.

Provider Support: Assist practices in their navigation of the OhioHealth system & facilitate provider issue resolution by overcoming barriers to access and efficiency.

Other: Record physician non-monetary compensation & document activities in Salesforce as required; prepare monthly reports/tracking on activities & competitive intelligence; other duties as directed.
