Job Description Summary

The MCU Leader, APAC is a key member of the regional leadership team, responsible for leading Major Component Upgrade (MCU) and up-tower repair operations across the APAC region. This role oversees internal and third-party execution teams, including tooling and equipment, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of services at customer sites.
The role requires strong operational leadership, sound judgment, and cross-functional coordination to drive performance against KPIs and deliver business outcomes. A high degree of autonomy is expected in managing complex operational and strategic challenges.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to APAC MCU and up-tower repair teams.
  • Manage execution teams (internal and third-party), including resource planning, tools, and equipment readiness.
  • Ensure effective planning, coordination, and scheduling prior to execution.
  • Develop strong regional understanding to support operational and customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party providers to ensure alignment on performance, demand, and expectations.
  • Partner with the sourcing team to define and optimize crane and labor strategy, driving productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for upcoming jobs and proactively track and report actual costs upon job completion.
  • Engage and coordinate with customers across the region to ensure service excellence.
  • Partner with global teams and local stakeholders to align priorities and execution plans.
  • Drive operational performance against KPIs, ensuring quality, safety, and delivery standards are consistently met.
  • Lead MCU related Lean/Kaizen and strategy development, including resource planning and policy alignment.
  • Analyze operational challenges, assess information critically, and implement effective, innovative solutions.
  • Lead projects or functional initiatives, influencing stakeholders and guiding decision-making where required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in wind turbine service operations.
  • Proven field leadership experience managing execution teams.
  • Strong command of English (written and verbal).
