ResMed is advancing the future of Global Smart Factory & Digital Operations, and we’re looking for a Senior Smart Factory & OT/IT Integration Engineer to help us drive it!
This is a high‑impact global role responsible for shaping and scaling digital manufacturing capabilities across four major sites: Singapore, Malaysia, United States, and Sydney. If you are passionate about Smart Factory technologies, machine connectivity, data architecture, and building globally standardised manufacturing systems, this role puts you at the center of our digital transformation journey.
Let’s Talk about the Role & Key Priorities:
As our Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, connectivity, and integration of machines, systems, and digital platforms across our global network. You will own the roadmap for machine‑to‑enterprise data flow, and champion how factories talk, share, and operate as one.
1. Champion global standardization
Standardize processes, systems, data models, and integration patterns across all factories.
Create global templates, architectures, and reusable frameworks that scale.
2. Lead Smart Factory & emerging technology adoption
Evaluate and introduce technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, automation, advanced analytics, and next‑generation OT/IT architectures.
Shape future manufacturing capabilities and influence long‑term digital strategy.
3. Implement and scale complex manufacturing systems
Drive end‑to‑end delivery and optimization of MES, SCADA, ERP integrations, quality systems, industrial automation, and OT/IT platforms.
Lead multi‑site deployments, ensuring global consistency, reliability, and adoption.
4. Machine connectivity across all factories
Connect machines and equipment across SG, MY, US, and SYD using unified standards.
Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable data flows from the shop floor to enterprise systems.
What You’ll Own and Deliver:
Build and support SCADA/MES solutions using Ignition, including module configuration, tag/data model management, and dashboarding.
Integrate machines using OPC‑UA, MQTT, and PLC interfaces, ensuring robust connectivity and data quality.
Partner with site engineering, automation, IT/OT teams, and global COEs to deploy solutions with strong change management.
Ensure solutions directly improve throughput, yield, downtime, and OEE.
Act as the technical leader bridging hardware, software, data, and operations.
Let's Talk About Requirements:
Must‑have technical depth:
Solid hands‑on experience with Smart Factory technologies, IoT systems, and OT/IT integration.
Strong understanding of PLCs and automation hardware in the market today.
Ability to program, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate both software and hardware.
Experience building and supporting solutions in Ignition (critical).
Strong understanding of machine connectivity and industrial communication protocols (OPC‑UA, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
Plus, you’ll stand out if you have:
Experience integrating MES/SCADA with ERP and enterprise systems.
Familiarity with data pipelines, historians, and cloud connectivity.
Experience delivering solutions across multi‑site or global environments.
A systems‑thinking mindset backed by strong documentation and communication skills.
Why This Role Is Important:
Global scale: Your work will standardize and transform four major factories.
Technical depth: This is not a “paper product owner” role—this is for someone who wants to build, architect, connect, and innovate.
Future‑focused: You will influence our Smart Factory architecture for years to come.
Impact: Every system you deploy will directly elevate productivity, quality, and resilience across the global supply chain.
If you want to lead real Smart Factory engineering, and you get excited about connecting machines, standardizing systems, and driving manufacturing intelligence at scale, this is the role where you can do your best work!
