As the Public Business Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison between the company and the key accounts stakeholders in the public business sector (which includes Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) & etc.). Your role is pivotal in building relationships with these key stakeholders, shaping the marketing and sales landscape of the key accounts assigned as well as fostering partnerships to facilitate patient access to medication through reimbursement. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to project successful realization of the value of our innovative medicines & vaccines by working closely with cross-functional teams including commercial (business units), market access, government affairs, tender business manager, medical affairs, and regional team.

  • Identify key decision makers and influencers, conduct thorough account analysis, and perform 4C (Climate, Competitor, Customer, and Consumer) assessments to develop strategic account plans that promote GSK’s market presence and brand values.
  • Support the implementation of key marketing campaign in assigned accounts to enhance GSK’s standing in the public business.
  • Employ omnichannel engagement strategies in managing stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with the key stakeholders in each assigned key account.
  • Engage in policy shaping activities by comprehensively understanding procurement policies and treasury guidelines set by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Ministry of Health (MOH).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at the ministry, state health department, district health department, and hospital/institution levels to devise and execute strategies aimed at enhancing the positioning of innovative products.
  • Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence, monitor competitor activities, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making and address market challenges and opportunities.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders through collaborative initiatives to secure product listing in key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and business sustainability.
  • Facilitate the access of GSK products into the national formulary by generating demand within individual key accounts nationwide and seeking special approval when necessary.
  • Facilitate the listing of GSK products in the formulary of individual key accounts once they are included in the national formulary.
  • Oversee key account deliverables, including Purchase Orders (LPO), Lampiran Q, and tender, by closely collaborating with product specialists and tender business manager. Conduct monthly account reviews with business units to align goals, actions, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and track and respond to results.
  • Maintain high level of customer service by identifying and resolving customer queries and problems proactively.

  • Preferably with 4 years of proven track record of success in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or key account management
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering account marketing strategies.
  • Preferably with experience and knowledge of the dynamics of the public sector
  • Clear and influential communication skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with key stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated planning ability and strong organizational and executional skills with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. 
  • Creative problem solving and analytical thinking. 
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Ability to understand the business landscape and leverage on customer ecosystem.
  • Accountability and ownership in creating innovative business plans and solutions.
  • Orchestrate relationships and demonstrate omnichannel engagement mindset.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability for negotiation and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel around the country
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree with relevant science or business background (MBA is a plus)
