Regional Safety Manager


Location: Sydney, NSW

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Regional Safety Manager to oversee safety performance across a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects in New South Wales. This role offers the opportunity to lead safety initiatives and foster a culture of excellence in a dynamic environment.

As the Regional Safety Manager, you will:

  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Manage and oversee safety performance across multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with NSW legislation and organisational standards.
  • Enhance Safety Systems: Implement and improve safety management systems, tailored to diverse project needs.
  • Collaborate Across Projects: Work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and ensure best practices are applied consistently.
  • Conduct Audits and Assessments: Perform regular inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks to maintain high safety standards.
  • Mentor and Develop Teams: Provide leadership, training, and support to project safety teams, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with organisational goals.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Extensive experience in senior safety roles, specifically across multiple large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW safety legislation, systems, and risk management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor safety teams across complex project environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising across diverse teams and contractors.
  • Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.
