About the Role

The Mixpanel global growth marketing team is growing, and we’re looking for our first Customer Growth Marketing Manager—a hybrid of Lifecycle & Growth Marketing with a focus on retention and expansion. This role will work closely with the team of demand generation experts, while ensuring we’re meeting customer needs and strategically growing Mixpanel usage.

As Customer Growth Marketing Manager, you’ll develop and optimize lifecycle programs that help free and paid customers maximize Mixpanel’s value, driving retention, expansion, and pipeline impact. The ideal candidate knows what works (and what doesn’t) in signal-based campaigns, has deep expertise in experimentation, and thrives on analyzing, iterating, and driving impact through email and in-product engagement. They excel at leveraging customer insights to craft personalized, high-impact experiences that directly fuel growth.

What You'll Do

  1. Drive revenue growth
    1. Own developing and optimizing lifecycle programs to drive cross-sell and expansion growth through email and in-product messaging.
    2. Leverage key account signals (e.g., Qualified Signups, Free Plan Caps) to identify expansion opportunities.
    3. Refine nurture sequences and engagement plays to improve conversion and time-to-value.
    4. Be SME in email marketing and provide inputs to global marketing team’s approach to email as a channel.
  2. Collaborate cross-functionally for expansion success
    1. Partner with Sales to activate high-intent accounts, mitigate churn risks, and drive expansion.
    2. Work with Product Growth to optimize onboarding and in-app engagement.
    3. Ensure accurate tracking with Marketing Ops.
  3. Measure and optimize
    1. Test, iterate, and optimize lifecycle programs and understand what is and isn’t working.
    2. Track key metrics like pipeline generated and influenced, retention, and engagement — driving understanding of these motions with broader team.
