Walmart is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. This role involves driving the full software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with architectural best practices and business objectives. The Platform Intelligence team develops Watchtower, a centralized operational hub built on Spotify Backstage that enhances incident response and error correction at scale. As part of this team, you will design and build an operational intelligence platform relied upon by thousands of engineers during critical moments. Utilizing technologies such as React, TypeScript, Redis, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and advanced AI, the team creates event-driven systems that combine automation with human insight. This work supports seamless operations within a Fortune 500 company, ensuring reliability and efficiency when addressing complex technical challenges.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
