As a member of the department operating team, individual is responsible for performing job duties of the Services which focuses on Keeping the plant site including the cafeteria, medical, offices, restrooms, etc., in clean orderly condition.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Participates in the continuous improvement process by making suggestions to your Supervisors and Leads.
  • Individual must perform to Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Procedures to maintain material flow to internal and external customers. 
  • Removes litter and waste materials from cafeteria, medical offices, conference rooms, and restrooms.
  • Sweeps, mops, strips and waxes all offices and tiled hallways.
  • Washes windows, walls, and doors; cleans window shades as needed.
  • Inspects and properly disposes of biohazardous waste according to established procedures.
  • Collects and disposes nonhazardous material into the proper waste bins.
  • Cleans and supplies all restrooms and shower rooms with toilet necessities toiletries.
  • Ensures proper use and inventory of cleaning and custodial supplies such as floor wax, soap, paper supplies, etc.
  • Maintains cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, HEPA vacuum cleaners, burnishers, etc.
  • Assists other janitors on large scale cleaning assignments as needed.
  • Stores equipment properly when not in use.
  • Maintains assigned work area and generally plans own work schedule for completing assignments.
  • Wears proper PPE as required when completing tasks,
  • Trains new personnel.
  • Reports needed repairs to Group Leader.

      REQUIREMENTS:

  • Individual must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team to meet demands.
  • Must have good verbal and written skills.
  • No previous experience required but is desirable.  One week of training necessary to perform adequately in assigned area. 
  • Must complete on the job and study training to understand the Plant Emergency Spill and Fire Plans in particular, how to report emergencies, and to minimize hazards.
  • Requires minimal heavy lifting with continuous use of both arm and leg muscles.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Must possess basic computer skills, such as email.
  • Must have knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Must demonstrate basic mechanical ability.
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to provide customer service.


 

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
