Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of the production process flow, from
    new product development and subsystem assembly to
    integration testing.
  • Take ownership of design in SolidWorks, ranging from simple
    parts to large assemblies.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, process, and
    applications engineering teams.
  • Work with vendors to introduce new products and improve
    cost, quality, and testing, and implement changes in orders
    and delivery.
  • Develop, document, and deploy test plans for mechanical,
    electrical and optical components and subsystems.
  • Guide new product introduction to manufacturing from
    prototype through pilot and production release.
  • Deliver and propose continuous improvement projects.
  • Update and produce assembly and testing documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 to 10 years in the industry.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for modeling, working with
    large assemblies, and creating drawings with GD&T.
  • Experience with low to medium-volume production
    machinery or consumer products.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the product lifecycle
    from concept through production.
  • Fundamental analytical skills, including FEA, CDD,
    CFD, FMEA, and MBD.

Additional Skills:

  • Willingness to learn and research unfamiliar
    technologies and disciplines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and
    pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with pneumatics and fluid system design.
