About This Role

We are looking for someone to join our team as we embark on a DevOps to DevSecOps transformation. We are changing technology and culture to enable an upstream approach to building, testing, and releasing software. Our team is working to empower all developers across TD to drive value for our colleagues and customers more effectively, efficiently, and with greater confidence in the solutions. We build capabilities to accelerate thousands of software engineers and lead execution and adoption of modern DevSecOps principles, practices, and pipelines.

As Software Engineer II, you will develop and maintain comprehensive end-to-end technical solutions for our technology partners with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of specific solutions based on requirements and needs defined by our stakeholders, ensuring adherence to engineering and architectural design principles and compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

You will also provide technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security, especially relating to the use of modern DevSecOps pipelines to enhance developer effectiveness. Ultimately, you provide industry-leading expert advice and lead the junior engineers around you in developing and adopting the next generation of tools, processes, and practices to enable the delivery of solutions that delight our customers.

· Work with various stakeholders and teams to develop the future DevSecOps state across the bank - great opportunity to interact with different teams and help automate pipelines across the enterprise.

· Lead the creation of solution options and comprehensive end-to-end solutions and coordinate relevant stakeholders to support development initiatives; following a "build it, break it, fix it mentality". Build new reference and custom solutions to enable the delivery of technical solutions.

· Review technical deliverables throughout detailed design and development phase to ensure quality adherence and identify gaps or redesign requirements as needed.

· Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement improvements/ solutions (buy/build/reuse) to enhance customer experience, availability, and/or reduce cost in support of client needs.

· Work with technology partners to define metrics and performance goals for the solutions.

· Work independently and/or autonomously on a diverse range of tasks/operational support of solutions

· Assess current state and design solutions to achieve target state, provide support and consulting services as teams adopt the technology we build.

· Help improve the developer experience & Educate others on secure coding practices, automation capabilities, pipeline best practices, and more.

· Contribute to the advancement of the TD engineering practice through strong collaboration, research, analytic, and problem-solving skills.

· Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.

· Participate in personal development activities, including cross training within own team.

Job Requirements:

What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

· University or Post-Graduate Degree.

· 5+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related field with a strong focus on security. Proven track record in designing and implementing automation, pipeline, and security solutions.

· Deep knowledge of security tools (ex: SAST, DAST, SCA), CI/CD systems (especially Jenkins, Github Actions/Workflows), and infrastructure as code (ex: Terraform)

· Proficient in modern programming/scripting languages and container security.

· Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in projects of moderate to high complexity.

· Readiness to participate in projects of moderate to high complexity and provide guidance around complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business line or enterprise level.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Advanced knowledge of the business, its standards, applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices.

· Ability to work independently under minimal guidance.
