About the Team

Join the product team for two of Workday’s newest and most highly anticipated new products: Workday Scheduling and Labor Optimization! Our team is looking for a product manager to help us build the most advanced and engaging workforce management solution in the market. You’ll use cutting edge technology to redefine how our customers schedule and engage with frontline workers in a world where the very definition of “work” is evolving rapidly.

About the Role

Our product manager will help define and design critical functionality for our Scheduling and Labor Optimization products. This team member will work with our AI-based optimization technology to solve the scheduling needs of Workday’s largest customers. If you enjoy building new products and solving problems using advanced technology, Workday Scheduling is the team for you.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to understand their challenges and opportunities when it comes to scheduling frontline workers
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of development, UX, data science and test engineers
  • Work with designers to turn your ideas into experiences that engage the user
  • Design solutions to solve customer problems using a diverse range of development technologies, including AI and ML technologies
  • Break down large designs and long-term plans into phases and short-term deliverables
  • Take ownership, groom and author prioritized scrum backlog of epics and stories

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • 2+ years of product owner experience or working closely with product manager to translate customer and market needs into product deliverables and release support through the entire product life cycle


Other Qualifications

We’ll be evaluating candidates across these various qualifications:

  • Experience with designing or building workforce management software

  • Track record in managing product lifecycle: defining business problems, researching customer needs, prototyping and testing new solutions, working with design and engineering teams, and prioritizing an Agile development backlog.

  • High ownership, curiosity, and drive to meet customers’ needs 

  • Excellent analytical abilities, including exploration, measurement, and monitoring

  • Track record of working independently, and resolving ambiguity 

  • Strong Active Listening Skills

  • A collaborative approach, seeking common ground to meet organizational goals
