Position Summary
Manage Samsung’s TV portfolio and given TV related tasks in Consumer Electronics. This includes collecting market requirements and working with the Line Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Sales Colleagues and other related staff of other departments to set up short and long term product sales and marketing strategy. The TV Product Manager is expected to develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the portfolio and must be able to share this knowledge with other technical personnel within Samsung.
Role and Responsibilities
Key objectives
Set up short and long term product sales and marketing strategy for the TV product group in line with HQ’s directions under the supervision of the Line Manager. Simulate the market for accurate demand planning and manage the entire product life-cycle to drive results. Achieve the weekly-, monthly-, quarterly and yearly sales, profit and KPI (SCM, M/S, etc.) targets. Coordinate and follow-up sales activities, track results and provide reports. Fulfil product related administrative tasks, manage working file updates and prepare presentations.
Main responsibilities
- Based on HQ’s directions adopt local short and long term product sales and marketing strategies for the TV product group.
- Manage product mix, pricing and publication of prices, maintain prices in system
- Set up, execute, coordinate and track sales activities and marketing campaigns/promotions for the given product categories and channels in order to meet given sales and revenue targets
- Hold responsibility on product group’s P&L
- Manage product life cycle and launch new products, product and proposition planning and development
- Define flooring strategy and retail implementation of the TV portfolio
- Supervise the product exposures, communication and marketing activities
- Coordinate the retail sales of dedicated products, channel management
- Weekly forecast of product demand by model
- Analyse and estimate the market trends in order to forecast Samsung sales that are in line with the given targets.
- Benchmark, analyse and report the competitors’ products, prices and marketing activities in order to enhance competitiveness
- Manage regular reporting and prepare materials of presentations
- Update simulation tools and database, make analysis and call stakeholders’ attention on focus/issue areas
- Collect the open sources market data to have reliable information about market position
- Cooperate with Key Account Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Retail Team, Marketing and other divisions
- Direct substitution of PM related tasks upon Line Manager’s request
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements
- min. BA/BSC degree, preferable in economy
- 5-10 years experience in the field of Product Management preferably in Consumer Electronics
- Good command of Hungarian and English
- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Structured and focused communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical way of thinking, strategic and proactive attitude
- Self-reliant attitude but good at team work too
- Ability to meet high level of expectations
- Organized way of working, ability to handle own projects and tasks
