Job Summary

Comcast/Xfinity is looking for a detail-oriented Analyst of Growth Insights to support the growing Consumer Research & Insights (CR&I) organization.



This individual will support stakeholders in growth and competitive teams across several areas (Internet, Mobile, Entertainment, Home) reporting into the Senior Manager of Growth Insights. This position will work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional partners in the following teams: Enterprise Business Intelligence; Strategy Performance and Analytics; and Loyalty Strategy and Rewards teams.

This individual must have a proven track record of analyzing data, experience with report development in primary research projects, as well as an interest in both the telecommunications industry and learning and growing job responsibilities within our team.



Responsibilities include active, in-depth participation in Growth research projects from start to finish, including participating in meetings with stakeholders, data analysis, report development and refinement. The candidate will be working on a variety of topics such as: gauging consumer interest in our services, uncovering consumer needs and pain points; purchasing behaviors; positioning, packaging, product development; and emerging trends in a highly competitive and ever-changing business environment and retention.

Job Description

Position Details: 

  • Work with Senior Manager, Growth Insights to prioritize tasks and responsibilities as set below 

  • Actively participate in meetings with Consumer Research & Insights colleagues and Growth stakeholders to understand key business questions and consumer research needs 

  • Assist in execution of both qualitative and quantitative research projects, supporting growth and competitive partners across all areas of the business (Internet, Mobile, Entertainment, Home) 

  • Synthesize data and draft research results, key takeaways, and actionable insights through compelling storytelling (written and verbal). Understand stakeholders’ key business questions and be able to report in a way that is clear and compelling to them, including iterations 

  • Assist in managing external vendors through all phases of research projects 

  • Stay current on industry trends, and seek new ways to utilize research to support company initiatives 

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance 

  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary 

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

 

Successful candidates display the following characteristics: 

  • Highly organized - able to prioritize multiple tasks to deliver quality results on time 

  • Deeply curious – interested in telecommunications business both within Comcast but also across the competitive landscape 

  • Able to work with minimal oversight on multiple concurrent projects across a variety of stakeholders 

  • Demonstrable presentation (communication and storytelling) skills to a variety of audiences 

  • Skilled at building and maintaining relationships with multiple partners, teammates, stakeholders, and vendors 

  • Empathy for research subjects as well as stakeholders 

  • Independent thinker, willing to advise on research process (design, sample, reporting)  

 

Qualifications: 

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience (hands-on exploratory, quantitative, and qualitative research experience is required) 

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills 

  • Capability to synthesize data from multiple sources  

  • Strong sense of urgency to deliver answers and consolidated points of view 

  • Experience in (or an interest in learning about) the telecommunications industry 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 

  • A can-do attitude – able to find solutions or work with larger team/company decisions 

  • Skilled in Office suite 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment 

  • Working knowledge of at least one statistical software package (SPSS, SAS, R) 

 

Additional skills that are a plus but not required: 

  • Working knowledge of at least one survey tool (i.e. Qualtrics, Decipher, etc.) 

  • Applied experience with longitudinal, multi-wave research 

  • Bilingual Fluent (Spanish)
