About the Group:
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) within Independent Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and for specific enterprise-level risk management programs and processes that span the organization, the lines of defense and various risk categories. These include risk identification, enterprise risk analytics, risk appetite & limits, new activity risk management, risk frameworks & policy, strategic risk, digital assets risk and climate risk. The group is headed by the Head of ERM who reports directly to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
About the Team:
Risk Data & Technology Transformation was formed with one purpose in mind To Build Risk Data & Technology solutions to deliver on our regulatory commitments. But our mission extends beyond solving our regulatory commitments we want to Transform data, process, and technology to achieve a generational shift in Risk Management practices. By doing so we operationalize the Enterprise Risk Management Framework through technology solutions. The data & tech transformation team has 3 core team: 1. ERM Product technology to drive the buildout of enterprise risk management capabilities to support our transformation commitments, 2. Risk Chief Data Office to drive risk data transformation and champion adoption of new policy standards, and 3. ERM Infrastructure responsible to create common infrastructure capabilities to drive target state enhancements to risk-wide tools.
About the Role:
This specific role will be part of the ERM data and technology pillar within ERM Data and Technology transformation. The Enterprise Risk Transformation team is an expanding function within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and leading enterprise strategic initiatives covering risk identification, measurement (including risk appetite and stress testing), monitoring, reporting (including data management), escalation workflows and controls. The risk transformation team is primarily focused on delivering a portfolio of key firm-wide consent order initiatives in the risk & control domain. The current opening is for the team’s Risk Board Reporting and Data Transformation Product Owner Lead. The objective of the role is to provide program management and technology product management to plan, oversee and execute against remediation efforts with key partners. The Transformation Product Owner Lead is responsible for driving the on-time, complete delivery of the technology commitments associated with the book of work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage program strategy and planning within the Risk Monitoring and Reporting program including defining the strategy and approach to remediation efforts for several regulatory commitments, focused on Risk Board Reporting. Manage processes, quality, tools, and reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence.
• Strategic planning and communication to multiple senior forums, regarding various transformation activities within the Consent Order. Provide thought leadership and develop written communications to demonstrate progress and challenges toward our regulatory commitments.
• Product Owner lead with the ability to bridge the gaps between product strategy and development, including providing clarity about the product’s vision and goals.
• Ensure alignment of reporting and data deliverables with BCBS 239 principles including identification/assessment of data flows and gaps, designation of authoritative data sources, lineage, data quality and other related data governance aspects.
• Correspond and execute deliverables aligned with principles, policies, frameworks and procedures laid at the firm or business unit or function levels as per the guidance from Chief Data Office or Federated Data Office.
• Fully understand various data and reporting flows across several risk areas to identify EUCs and lead / execute remediation with systemic implementations in partnership with Technology.
• Ability to articulate in both verbal and written forms (including presentations and technical writing) the business/delivery strategy, product roadmap/management aspects, Regulator and Senior Management updates, Closure wrapper / other related and mandated documentation.
• Works closely with business partners on findings and makes recommendations on improving practices though technology solutions.
• Directs junior team members in creation of procedural documentation, and user guides for the Escalation application's roll out and ongoing enhancements.
• Examines procedures for consistency and gaps relative to policies and standards, in addition to impacts on user experience.
• Leverages data to examine impacts to user experience and procedural breaks.
• Provide governance for our portfolio of Technology projects, including dependency management, risk & issue management, and stakeholder engagement across a broad range of other programs.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Work with leadership team and hiring managers to understand and action change in order to improve organizational oversight and standards.

Qualifications and Competencies:
• 15+ years of experience leading transformation and/or organizational changes efforts related to Enterprise Risk Reporting and Data related compliance and transformation in financial services
• The successful candidate will have risk management experience and ability to work with senior stakeholders across the business, risk, compliance, finance, technology, program management functions and with geographically distributed global teams.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and strategic skills to appropriately engage with senior stakeholders
• Adept at building relationships with key stakeholders and influencing and negotiating to drive change
• Solid organizational skills and ability to pivot between team and stakeholder management
• Understanding of Citi’s businesses and products and their risk profiles across multiple geographies
• Strong ability in interacting with and influencing senior business stakeholders
• Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills needed for influencing senior management decisions
• Undergraduate / Master's degree(s) with an analytical focus (e.g., finance, economics, etc.)
