JOB DESCRIPTION

Leadership:  Effectively leads assigned program management team and platforms as complete business entities, which represent a significant proportion of the group’s business in terms of sales volume.  Responsible for optimizing program profitability.  Establishes, communicates and drives the team and stakeholders to achieve business goals (ROS, IRR, ROA, working capital, tool collection, timing and quality).

· Profitability: Delivers/exceeds program financial performance to stated Profit Plan through increasing sales and ensuring strict cost management. Focus on platform growth and execution, resource planning, and overall SDT execution.  Key participant in the monthly Finance SDT meetings.

· Customer Satisfaction: Jointly manages customer relationships and customer satisfaction, in conjunction with functional

groups, excellence in Quality, Productivity, Service, Delivery, and Cost.  Demonstrates positive / effective relationship with

key customer stakeholders including Purchasing, design, engineering, quality and operations.

· Employees: Creates and enhances a diverse, enthusiastic, and creative work environment that motivates and develops

employees to fully utilize and grow their skills and talents and be proud and excited to be a part of Adient.  Builds effective teams by promoting collaboration and cooperation across functional and product groups to achieve business objectives. Develops a robust succession plan and participates in the business succession planning process to build a bench of talent.

· Systems: Promote the development and compliance to standardized processes to ensure continuous business growth, improved launch execution, higher customer satisfaction, and improved financial performance.  Serves as the team’s subject matter expert on Adient systems and removes roadblocks as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support BU/Region current and long-term objectives; sets adequate operating plans for future development within the

region.

· Allocates resources (human, financial, technical) to achieve balance between short-term and long-term profit

· Represents the company and CBU in its regional relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers,

commercial and investment groups

· Supports, develops and executes the overall CBU strategy in order to meet strategic objectives and the Profit Plan for the region.

· Create and develop a highly efficient team and the corresponding organizational structure

· HSEE:  Follow all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training.

· Follow required emergency prevention and operational controls.

· Report all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies

· Quality:

· Apply, execute and maintain function related BOS issues

· In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined and assigned

Reviews and approves Tooling Authorization requests.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Manages a team of Program Managers and Project Managers

Qualifications/Experience:

Education

Degree (Master’s preferred) in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10 years of experience that includes financial, operational, engineering, sales, program management and

leadership responsibilities.

to interact with SDT to reach team goals and business objectives.

· Leadership - Ability to empower others to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance

feedback. Demonstrated ability to engage & influence customers, suppliers, stakeholders, SDT and functional colleagues to follow strategies and plans that support business objectives.

products in terms of time, resources and budget; as well as to understand the financial aspects of business planning and

budget management.

· Problem Solving Skills - Must understand and be able to employ problem solving skills in order to resolve issues

compromising effective program/project implementation

· Financial acumen- Participates in or leads quote activity, workforce planning, Profit Plan and forecasts, working

knowledge of financial statements, adept at explaining strategies for business improvement, CAR, financial reviews.

· Product Knowledge - Working knowledge of multiple product features, cost drivers, functional and craftsmanship characteristics. Working knowledge of products manufacturing methods.

· Cultural awareness and demonstrated experience leading a team made up of multiple regions.
