Our Process Engineering team is seeking a Wirebond Process Technician to support our team 100% Onsite in McKinney, Texas. This position is for 3rd shift.

Our multi-disciplined Process Engineering team performs hands-on problem solving in a collaborative and fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are subject matter experts for processes and materials in a cleanroom environment which focuses on radiofrequency (RF) microelectronic packaging and surface mount technology.

This hands-on role confronts new projects and challenges every day and requires cross-functional collaboration in both cutting-edge automation and mature production processes. You’ll develop and implement materials and process improvements to our factory, while providing production support using a variety of analytical techniques, including statistical process control, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis. You’ll perform the evaluation of materials, equipment, and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 clean room environment) in high-volume, high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems.
  • Support assembly processes involving automated wire bond component attachment.
  • Work together with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing.
  • Manage development and production priorities for wirebond team using Jira, which includes proactive communication with customers (product engineers, operations, etc.).
  • Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis.
  • Evaluate materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure processes developed and executed meet product quality requirements (MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, etc.).
  • Effective cross-functional communication of technical information.
  • Ability to spend 8+ hours per day in a clean room environment, following clean room and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.

3rd shift schedules. Exact schedule to be discussed upon hire with potential options of:

  • “Standard 3rd shift schedule” (10 PM – 6 AM Sunday-Thursday)
  • “4/10 schedule” (10 PM – 8 AM Sunday-Wednesday)
  • “Compressed B shift schedule” (6 PM – 6 AM every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday).  

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with programming, operating, and troubleshooting wirebond automated equipment for ball bond, wedge bond, and ribbon bond (Hesse and Palomar equipment models).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and problem-solving ability.

The salary range for this role is 43,400 USD - 82,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
