Global Market Controllers Senior Lead Analyst

This is a critical and influential role in shaping and driving process and technology change across the Global Market Controllers group.


This role requires a significant understanding of the Global Market Controllers function as well as ability to work effectively at all levels and partnering with our key stakeholders and other functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads, influences, drives and sets regional approach / strategy, within global frameworks
  • Organise and plan the activities required to deliver against the workstream objectives and scope, for assigning accountability for delivery, implement tracking and monitoring processes, communicating and reporting status of the workstream
  • Creating ideas and insight of how the Global Market Controllers process can be improved, simplified and operate more effectively
  • Partnering with Technology to deliver the right infrastructure tools and innovative solutions aligned to both the Global Market Controllers vision and best in class Finance direction
  • Taking a lead in defining data quality controls for Global Market Controllers and partnering with Technology to deliver the infrastructure solutions
  • Defining a plan to decrease amounts of manual adjustments in Global Market Controllers, building and implementing measures to achieve organization targets.
  • Strong leadership in setting a clear agenda, direction, goals and communicating objectives for the Global Market Controllers strategic projects
  • Help shape the consistent organizational design and definition of Global Market Controllers roles and responsibilities
  • Accountability for process alignment with Global Market Controllers MCA (Managers Control Assessment)
  • Ownership for process and systems improvements, incorporating key control alignment
  • Generate a strong partnership with Technology to deliver business tools and solutions to support Global Market Controllers function
  • Acting as the senior partner across Finance and to the other key stakeholders (Business, Risk, Compliance Technology, etc.) in relation to Global Market Controllers global process matters
  • Help manage stakeholder engagement; Identify and manage anticipated resistance and any obstacles
  • Drive innovative change management design, development and delivery
  • Ensure planned change management activities are supported in formal project plans
  • Create actionable vision and deliverables, drive the innovative change agenda forward
  • Define and measure success criteria, manage change progress and track benefit delivery

Ideal background:

  • 10+ years of experience in related role
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
  • Strong knowledge of BAU processes in PC, system flows and required controls
  • Strong IT knowledge in software deployment and development is an advantage
  • Proficient MS Office Excel, Access knowledge.
  • Experience in financial reporting or product control is an advantage
  • Knowledge of capital and financial market products are an advantage
  • Accounting and/or Management reporting experience is an advantage
  • Fluent English knowledge
  • Highly motivated with advanced analytical & problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines

  • Professional communication & interpersonal skills
