The Blanking Operator is responsible for operating blanking equipment to trim flash from parts. This role requires maintaining quality standards, following established work procedures, and practicing safe work habits to ensure productions is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with customer specifications

Blanking Operator

1st Shift: Mon-Fri.              7am - 3pm

Position Summary

The Blanking Operator is responsible for operating blanking equipment to trim flash from parts. This role requires maintaining quality standards, following established work procedures, and practicing safe work habits to ensure productions is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with customer specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate blanking presses to produce parts of specified dimensions.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and product quality.
  • Visually inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain established production efficiencies for each machine.
  • Promptly report any health, safety, quality, or efficiency concerns to the supervisor.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
  • Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist other operators as needed to meet production goals.
  • Complete required documentation and accurately track production through data collection systems.
  • Notify the supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic math proficiency.
