Supervisor, Business Developer - Houston, TX

Salary: $93,000-$118,000 annually, commensurate with experience

GEICO is looking for an accomplished result-oriented sales leader to help build the foundations of our Business Developer team. The ideal candidate will display strong analytical skills to help deliver on business plan initiatives through competitor analysis and product expertise. This role will facilitate learning and development to support associates and business partners as the subject matter expert on systems and products across GEICO’s brand. The supervisor will provide direct support through coaching, and mentorship to ensure operational excellence of key performance indicators and support GEICO’s agency partners to help build our portfolio and book of business.

Qualifications:
 

  • Incumbent would be required to work full-time in office - must live within commuting distance to 21420 Merchants Way, Katy, TX 77449
  • Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working with different lines of insurance (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health)
  • Highly effective oral and written communicator with prior leadership experience
  • Must be comfortable facilitating conflict resolution and speaking in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner across multiple channels (in-person, virtually, over the phone, etc.)
  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural knowledge
  •  Ability to work individually and as a team collaborator with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  •  Knowledge of industry changes, technology, and desire for continued learning
  • This role may require up to 10% travel at times

Preferred Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years sales (business-to-business sales a plus)
  • Prior experience with diary/caseload management and customer follow-up
  • Prior experience with KPI reporting, data analysis, and translating sales results into actionable strategies
