This role focuses on safely filling, handling, and managing high- and low-pressure gas cylinders within a plant environment. The position requires a strong commitment to safety regulations, quality control documentation, and physical labor.
Learn and understand hazards of various gases, size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks.
Accurately label cylinders and boxes.
Transfill low pressure cylinders on a manifold
Comply with Training, safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this positions responsibilities.
Movement of cylinders as required in the plant. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Completes all documentation and forms in compliance with cGMPs policy and FDA requirements during the fill process.
Maintains a neat, clean and orderly workplace through proper housekeeping procedures.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining sufficient stock to meet customer demand. Assist with inventory counts monthly.
Adheres to all quality assurance policies and standards.
Reports accidents including near misses, unsafe acts or conditions and obeys safety rules.
Fills cylinders, high and low pressure, in accordance with safety procedures and quality.
Able to operate a forklift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Able to operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work independently.
Good reading and writing skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Good math and analytical skills
Good organizational skills
Teamwork skills
Precise record keeping
Familiar with computers
Some heavy lifting
Chemical knowledge a plus
