Job Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to support development and testing of WARHAWK, an Air Support Operations Center (ASOC)/Tactical Operations Center (TOC) Command and Control (C2) application.

The software solution provides capabilities for data communications, targeting, and battlespace awareness supporting Tactical Air Control Party (TACP), TOC, and ASOC digitally aided C2 and Close Air Support (CAS) operations. The position offers the opportunity to develop capabilities within an established architecture for users that truly make a difference.

  • The tailored Agile DevSecOps software development process uses two week sprints and includes features of Scrum and Kanban, test driven development (TDD), paired work, and automated test scripts.
  • Responsibilities of the candidates include understanding software requirements and use cases, designing user interfaces, implementing source code to design specifications, developing automated test scripts to exercise the software, testing developed software, and updating software documentation as appropriate.
  • Additionally, the position requires the ability to analyze, debug, and correct reported issues and enhancements.
  • A successful candidate must possess an understanding of the entire software development life cycle.
  • Additionally, the development’s ultra-collaborative environment requires candidates to work well in a team environment.
  • The software integrates with the Windows Tactical Assault Kit (WinTAK) and provides connectivity with multiple datalinks.
  • The software is developed using C++ and C#, and regression tests are developed in Javascript using the TestComplete platform.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
