Sandvik Mining & Rock is recruiting for a Warehouse Lead for our Elko, Nevada Operations on our 1st shift Mon-Fri 6:00AM-3:00PM.

JOB PURPOSE

As a Team Lead you will support leadership in accomplishing the overall team’s mission and lead natural work teams in day-to-day operations including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment to ultimately meet key performance indicators.  You will contribute to a clean and safe working environment ensuring an effective and efficient execution of the distribution operations, profitability of the organization and customer satisfaction through performing basic distribution operational processes maintaining quality and productivity standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Adheres to all Sandvik policies, SOPs, safety, and environmental practices
  • Uses correct tools and materials safely in executing operational processes and inspections e.g. MHE
  • Executes warehouse operations
    • Ensures correct process in the inbound or outbound operational areas at all times to achieve set daily operational KPIs and to reduce operational risks
    • Maintain high level of stock control and accuracy within the warehouse
    • Oversees all aspects of compliance regarding people and equipment, such as daily inspections on all operational equipment
    • Participates in continuous improvement projects
    • Ensure that all operational reporting is completed and made available via applicable sandvik systems
    • Ensures that shipping/export documentation for orders are accurately and methodically processed 
    • Reports any discrepancies regarding stock, safety and other operational anomalies
    • Undertakes discrepancy investigations and implements corrective actions
    • Handles customer queries to resolve relevant issues in a timely manor
    • Follow instructions by leadership
    • Labor share throughout facility
    • Participate in continuous improvement projects
    • Warehouse administration and housekeeping
    • Other duties as assigned due to business needs
    • Act as a Safety Champion to ensure positive culture around safety as a priority
  • Operational Team Leader
    • Ensure optimal workforce planning is in place daily to achieve the productivity outcomes required
    • Monitors individual and team performance and escalates issues to supervisor/manager as required
    • Train employees on processes and/or tools/equipment
  • Financial responsibility
    • Accurately processes stock transactions in relevant warehouse processes to limit financial risks
    • Participates in cost reduction initiatives

EXPERIENCE

5+ years’ experience in Warehousing/ Distribution/ Supply Chain environment

EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

High School or equivalent experience. Post-secondary education/training in business or supply chain discipline would be of advantage.

OTHER:

  • Desirable English Proficiency: Intermediate (CEFR B1/ Completed EF level 6)
  • Organization Contribution: Operational controls, Warehouse efficiency, Warehouse improvement, Performance management
  • KPIS: Inbound & outbound on time, Inventory accuracy, Goods in transit aging, Returns processing time, Order error rate

Compensation  

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $26.00- $28.50, exclusive of fringe benefits and shift differentials.
