Do work that matters
As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will design, build, run, and evolve the tools, infrastructure, templates, and systems that empower our engineers to deliver business value. You’ll write code that automates infrastructure and environment management, ensuring reliability and scalability.
You will work collaboratively with product engineers to create platforms that enable them to deliver customer value with greater quality, speed, and safety. Your mission: make our platforms intuitive, robust, and loved by engineers.
In this role you will
Partner with product engineers to design, build, and run platforms that enable faster, safer, and higher-quality delivery of customer value.
Develop software to automate operations across platforms, infrastructure, environments, and tooling.
Orchestrate workloads in AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS) to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
Maintain observability through monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry collectors.
Apply DevOps and SRE best practices in logging, monitoring, and security to strengthen platform resilience.
Solve complex production issues using a systematic approach—conduct root cause analysis, post-mortems, and implement long-term fixes.
Mentor and lead junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering growth within the team.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Embrace modern development practices, using tools like Git for source control and CI/CD solutions such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, or GitHub Actions.
Have deep experience in designing, developing, deploying, and running high-quality applications and systems.
Are passionate about scaling distributed systems across public, private, or hybrid environments.
Champion a culture of quality, inclusiveness, and excellence, leading by example.
Continuously evolve our platforms, adopting new technologies to improve efficiency and make them loved by engineers.
Identify limitations in existing systems and processes, and apply software engineering to deliver scalable, sustainable improvements.
Communicate and influence effectively, educating stakeholders and engaging confidently with executives.
Tech Skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
Demonstrable experience as a Platform/DevOps/SRE Engineer in AWS Cloud environment.
Hands-on experience with container technology: Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
Strong scripting and programming skills like Python, Go or Bash.
Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools like Cloudformation or Terraform.
Strong experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, Github Actions or similar.
In-depth knowledge of SRE principles and best practices: defining CUJs, tracking SLOs and SLIs.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, Observe or AppDynamics
Be able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively
