Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries at Fab 9 is seeking a skilled and motivated Logistics Technician to be a part of the logistics team at GlobalFoundries 200mm Semiconductor manufacturing facility in Essex, VT. This role is for a day shift opening (6AM - 6:30PM) on Shift A (Sun /Mon/Tues, every other Wed). This comes with a comprehensive full-time benefits package, and there's no waiting period to enroll! Essential Responsibilities include:
Performing manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspection, warehousing, equipment, supplies, and mail
Preparing documentation and entering data into system including Warehouse Management software
Handling high value equipment, materials, and hazardous materials in an industrial environment
Counting, weighing, and measuring incoming or outgoing materials to compare and identify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records of data
Examining incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with the shipper to rectify
Completing paperwork or forms required for documentation
Determining method of shipment optimizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
Preparing materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, labeling, and preparing necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices
Coordinating pick-up and delivery of material with service providers
Ensuring documentation is compliant in collaboration with logistics and trade specialists
Operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock or reorganize storage
Filling orders and issuing materials, tools, and supplies per request; documenting transactions appropriately
Physically loading and unloading transported equipment
Performing cycle counts and physical inventories
Utilizing computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks
Performing daily inspections of material handling equipment
Performing work within standard operating procedures (SOP)
Prioritizing work assignments based upon service commitment to customers and business needs
Preparing and executing tasks for internal and/or external audits
Other Responsibilities:
Performing all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
Other duties as assigned by manager/ supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: Minimum one year warehouse experience, preferred experience with forklift / power jack / shipping / receiving
Fluency in English - both written & verbal
Physical Capacity Demands: Ability to perform work in a standing position for majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks). Able to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift. Able to perform activities that include bending at the waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, grasping, or reaching
Candidates must be able to meet GlobalFoundries driving requirements for driving company vehicles (valid Driver's license with clean driving record)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Oracle software, SAP, or other ERP systems
Experience working in logistics or in a shipping/receiving environment
Ability and willingness to obtain a forklift certification
Ability to operate automated or computerized systems and Microsoft software
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a global team
Ability to maintain accurate records
Ability to use machinery for packing, wrapping, and crating materials
Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation
Expected Salary Range
$36,300.00 - $61,700.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
