Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 5:00 PM-2:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $29.34 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

You will report to the Maintenance A Lead and the Operations Manager. The primary function of this position is to troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts/components on plant and production equipment.

You Will:

  Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working order.

Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts and make sure necessary adjustments to ensure continuing production operation.

  You will use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment.

You will use hand & power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and may test parts/equipment on plant & production equipment.

You will use shop equipment to fabricate new or replacement parts.

You will do electrical and/or pneumatic work to production machines.

  Responsible for housekeeping and sanitation tasks during and at the end of shift.

  Maintain food safety and quality.

Participate in process improvement efforts (CPS) utilizing their maintenance expertise, to assist all teams and projects.  Keep area 5S’d.

You Have:

·        High school diploma education or equivalent

·        2 – 3 years vocational tech training in machine maintenance and 3 years as packaging mechanic or 5 years' experience as a packaging mechanic.

·        Ability to read and write English for comprehension of written assembly directions and completion of Production/QA documents

·        Mechanical, electrical and electronics experience including PLC’s preferred.

·        Familiar with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, basic hand tools including electric hand tools

·        Familiarity with electronic controls

·        Lift up to 100 pounds

Climb ladders and work up to 100 feet in the air.
