The Role:

Joining Moderna offers the unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering team that's revolutionizing medicine through mRNA technology, with a diverse pipeline of development programs across various diseases.

As an employee, you'll be part of a continually growing organization, working alongside exceptional colleagues and strategic partners worldwide, contributing to global health initiatives.

Moderna's commitment to advancing the technological frontier of mRNA medicines ensures a challenging and rewarding career experience, with the potential to make a significant impact on patients' lives worldwide.

Moderna is solidifying its presence within our international business services hub in Warsaw, Poland, a city renowned for its rich scientific and technological heritage. This hub provides critical functions, meeting the growing demand of Moderna’s global business operations. We're inviting professionals from around the world to join our mission and contribute to the future of mRNA medicines.

We are seeking a Senior Power Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Power Automate and Copilot Studio to serve as both the platform administrator and hands-on automation developer, supporting Moderna’s Power Automate Center of Excellence (CoE). This role is critical to enabling automation at scale by establishing governance and guardrails, delivering high‑value automations, and empowering makers across the enterprise.

This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role for a self‑starter who behaves like an owner – balancing platform operations, governance, enablement, and direct delivery. Experience with UiPath is a strong plus and will help bridge enterprise automation practices across platforms.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Microsoft Power Platform Administration & Governance

  • Own administration of Power Platform across development, test, and production environments.

  • Implement and maintain the Power Platform CoE governance framework, including:

    • Environment strategy and lifecycle management

    • DLP policies and connector governance

    • Security roles, licensing, and access controls

  • Enforce platform guardrails to ensure solutions are secure, compliant, scalable, and supportable.

  • Manage solution promotion, versioning, change management, and operational readiness for production deployments.

  • Partner with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure adherence to enterprise standards.

Automation Solution Architecture & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end automation delivery, from solution architecture through development, deployment, and operational support, using Power Automate and Copilot Studio.

  • Define the automation architecture for each use case, determining when to use Power Automate, Copilot Studio, or a combined approach based on interaction model, complexity, and enterprise standards.

  • Develop production-grade automations, including Power Automate workflows and Copilot Studio agents that orchestrate backend systems and business processes.

  • Design Copilot Studio conversation models (topics, prompts, triggers, escalation paths) that drive workflow execution and user interaction.

  • Integrate automations with Microsoft 365 and enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, SaaS applications, and custom APIs).

  • Establish reusable patterns and components across Power Automate and Copilot Studio to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Ensure automations are operationally sound, with standardized exception handling, logging, monitoring, and alerting.

  • Make tooling decisions, including when to extend automation with RPA technologies such as UiPath, to deliver the most effective solution.

CoE Enablement & Maker Support

  • Support the hybrid CoE operating model with centralized governance and federated enablement.

  • Provide design guidance, architecture reviews, and production readiness reviews for maker‑built solutions.

  • Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex automation and Copilot issues.

  • Enable makers through documentation, standards, Community of Practices (CoP), office hours, and hands‑on advisory support.

  • Mentor citizen developers and junior engineers on secure and scalable automation patterns.

Platform Operations, Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor automation health, performance, failures, and usage across the platform.

  • Build dashboards and reporting (Power Platform analytics, Power BI) to track:

    • Automation adoption and business value

    • Platform utilization and operational risk

  • Drive continuous improvement of governance, tooling, and development standards.

  • Partner with Microsoft and internal stakeholders to stay aligned with roadmap and new capabilities.

The Moderna Mindsets You’ll Need

  • We behave like owners – You take end‑to‑end ownership of the Power Platform and its success at scale.

  • We act with urgency – You unblock teams quickly while maintaining strong governance and quality.

  • We obsess over learning – You continuously adapt as Power Platform capabilities evolve.

Here’s What You’ll Do (Basic Qualifications)

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience serving as both a Microsoft Power Platform administrator and a hands-on Power Automate and Copilot Studio engineer in an enterprise environment.

  • Proven experience implementing Power Platform governance and CoE models.

  • Strong understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and connector governance, Environment strategies and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

  • Experience integrating Power Automate with enterprise systems via APIs.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support production‑grade automations.

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with UiPath (development and/or administration).

  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., pharma, healthcare, GxP, SOX).

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, identity platforms, and security automation use cases.

  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python) to complement automation workflows.

  • Power Platform certifications (PL‑400, PL-500, PL‑600, Copilot Studio‑related certifications).

  • Strong communication skills and comfort working within a centralized CoE supporting distributed teams.Top of FormBottom of Form
