Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Captive Operations Group team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Warsaw. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As an Accounting and Reporting Supervisor you will be responsible for accounting, regulatory compliance and administrative functions for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and other clients.

We will count on you to:

  • Prepare financial statements under IFRS and  local GAAP in an accurate and timely manner for portfolio of clients

  • Reconcile and post insurance transitions

  • Calculate reserves

  • Track and post claim activity

  • Valuate Investment portfolio

  • Post all transactions needed for monthly closing in accounting system

  • Ensure completeness of information received for monthly closure

  • Assist in  annual audits for clients

  • Assist in  regulatory filings: local , Solvency II

  • Maintain client files in accordance with the Marsh standard filing system

  • Maintain client contact as needed

  • Assist in preparing  materials for board meetings

What you need to have:

  • Min. 3 years of professional experience related to finance / accounting / controllership gained in insurance / brokerage or auditing company

  • Excellent planning and organization skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Excel (formulas and data analysis)

  • Proficiency in English and Polish

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Initiative and persistence to pursue problems to resolution

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified or part qualified

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines

  • Proficiency in French
