The Challenge

Reporting into the Campaign Director, the Brand Marketing Lead is responsible for supporting the Campaign Director and working closely with the marketing and production team to develop and execute all phases of publishing and marketing for Ghost Story Games properties.

What You’ll Take On

  • Assist in driving the global go-to-market strategy including positioning, competitive analysis, audience segmentation, and visual identity
  • Conduct competitive product and marketing analysis using qualitative and quantitative data to support recommendations on strategy and investment
  • Drive strategic planning and execute integrated marketing plans including channels such as public relations, paid media, social media, content creators, events, 1P and partner marketing opportunities, email, web, and other promotions
  • Support visual ID and key asset creation including strategic approach and planning for production into integrated marketing placements
  • Drive developing post-mortem reports including ROI and areas for improvement across integrated marketing efforts
  • Direct and manage various outside agencies to execute marketing activities including negotiating agreements, defining scopes of work, guiding creative and strategic direction, and establishing and tracking goals
  • Support building sales strategies including evaluating lifecycle management opportunities and evaluating and pitching business deal
  • Support with copywriting including brand messaging, web and social media copy, FAQs, scripts, and other written materials as needed
  • Support communications and negotiations with external co-marketing partners including first party, GPU/CPU manufacturers, and hardware partners to secure and optimize earned opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal resources including production, finance, IT, and facilities to address marketing needs
  • Support merchandising, licensing, and eCommerce strategic planning and management as needed
  • Support playtest research from start to finish including working the dev team to establish playtest goals and questionnaires, driving recruitment of players, supporting playtest operations via local and VM solutions, and collaborating to build comprehensive qual and quant reporting, including working with producers on telemetry reporting
  • Support the production team with various activities including joint publishing tasks, ESRB submissions, and other tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • 7+ years experience in the video game industry
  • Has shipped at least 1 game on PC and console in a marketing or publishing role
  • Strong communication, collaboration, project management, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated towards solving problems and able to work well independently
  • Able to work well under pressure and with deadlines
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
