We are looking for a Data integrator (DI) developer who will contribute to generating insights from our data that comes from all areas of our business, from retail, central leadership, merchandising and logistics.

This role will suit a developer who has a passion for data, has a good understanding of modern data platforms and has experience in creating data pipelines. Technical skills across the data landscape are desirable but an appetite to pick up new technologies to support JD’s drive to make the best decisions with its data is key.

You will be working in a multidisciplinary team, alongside other DI developers, analysts and subject matter experts to develop data solutions that deliver value to our stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • You will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the data analytics pipeline, from exploration of the data, modelling of data into analytical products and building the pipelines and ELT/ETL mappings that underpin our data platform.
  • As a DI developer, you will have strong technical knowledge of data integration methodologies, and excellent SQL and data manipulation techniques. You will be technically confident and be able to engage with technical stakeholders and business subject matter experts.
  • Support the Central Data function by managing and developing initiatives to improve and build upon the existing data analytics platform
  • Work with analysts, data engineers, business stakeholders and leadership to identify analytical needs and requirement

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience of working within a data analytics team (Ideally 1+ years)
  • Strong experience of one or more ELT/ETL tools (Matillion, Talend, .dbt, Glue)
  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience with multiple databases
  • Familiarity with event streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • Hands on experience of data analytics within a retail organisation
  • 2 years experience with Matillion
  •  Python (or similar languages) for data processing and analysis
