Job Overview

Process transactions related to accounting systems and controls. Provide cost center management with monthly cost analysis and assist in the preparation of cost center forecasts and budgets.

Essential Functions

• Perform analysis of monthly revenue & expenses.
• Assist in meetings with Cross Functional Product Leads and Functional managers to discuss forecasts and preliminary budgets. Highlight major concerns to immediate supervisor for guidance.
• Coordinate tasks related to the administration of the financial accounting system.
• Maintain the general ledger; prepare monthly journal entries and compile source documentation related to financial reporting.
• Develop processes to meet or exceed internal customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting procedures and policies.
• Maintain thorough and complete financial and accounting records in preparation for independent audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of Revenue Recognition Standards & General Ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with finance modules of ERP systems such as SAP and PeopleSoft.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SFDC.
• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Good analytical and numeracy skills.
• Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
