WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
The American Red Cross is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our Salesforce Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with the Provar testing tool for Salesforce applications, ensuring that our critical systems run smoothly across multiple sandboxes. This role will contribute to testing efforts for various projects, including integration, regression, and performance testing, and will play a key part in ensuring that our Salesforce based applications meet high quality standards.

The American Red Cross is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our Salesforce Quality Assurance team. The team is responsible for delivering stable, tested code/configuration to production during release windows every sprint for the Training Services Salesforce instance.

The Training Services Salesforce environment is a combination of multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, etc.) and integrations that come together to serve the larger American Red Cross organization through the delivery of First Aid, CPR and AED training and products.

The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with the Provar testing tool for Salesforce applications, ensuring that our critical systems run smoothly across multiple sandboxes. This role will contribute to testing efforts for various projects, including integration, regression, and performance testing, and will play a key part in ensuring that our Salesforce based applications meet high quality standards.

The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast hours. 

This position also needs to be available to support  bi-weekly releases that occur around 8pm-10pm EST. 

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
•    Perform manual and automated testing of Salesforce applications using Provar across various sandboxes (development, QA, staging, and production).
•    Design, write, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing.
•    Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify and prioritize test scenarios.
•    Conduct end to end testing for Salesforce customizations and configurations, including Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and integrations.
•    Report and track bugs/defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting as necessary.
•    Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks in Provar, ensuring efficient test execution and reporting.
•    Participate in sandbox management, including coordinating testing efforts across different environments.
•    Contribute to continuous improvements in test processes and methodologies to improve quality and efficiency.
•    Prepare and present test reports, metrics, and dashboards to stakeholders.
•    Ensure testing activities comply with Red Cross quality and security standards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):
•    Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field*
•    Experience: 5+ years of experience in manual and automation testing with expertise in Salesforce testing. 7+ years overall experience required. 
•    2+ year of hands-on experience with Provar or similar Salesforce automation tools.
•    Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture (Salesforce Clouds, APIs, integrations, etc.). API, APEX & Lightening testing experience required.
•    Experience in testing in multiple Salesforce sandboxes (development, QA, UAT, production).
•    Familiarity with Salesforce metadata, data migration, and release management.
•    Knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
•    Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus.
•    Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
•    Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.


WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (preferred qualifications): 
•    Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer, etc.).
•    Experience with CI/CD tools and processes for Salesforce deployments.
•    Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Scrum teams.

PAY INFORMATION: 
The starting annual salary range for this position is $100K - $120K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. 

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
