JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

The Senior Vice President of Finance is a key executive leader who will support financial forecasting, planning, reporting and analysis. The FP&A team works closely with the CFO and senior executives to plan the business and allocate budget and resources to the company’s strategic initiatives. The SVP, Finance will be responsible for partnering with functional business leaders who need finance support to help grow their teams efficiently. In addition, this role will be involved in capital markets functions, including engaging with investor relations advisors, public relations, bankers and other areas related to our public listing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Lead strategy around building financial analysis and development and drive operational results against the budget, negotiations, new business, and competitive intelligence
  • Key player in enterprise-wide annual budget process including consolidating inputs across organization and delivering informed perspectives on results
  • Lead team and collaborate with matrixed teams to develop analysis and support for developing ideas, reimbursement analysis, clinic and provider performance, payor contract performance, and projects
  • Work side-by side with the Operations, Clinical and BD/M&A teams alongside Finance/Accounting personnel to fully understand the business and support the financial goals and objectives.
  • Enhance, mature, or create systems for financial and operating initiatives, as needed, as business and team growth occur
  • Building deep business partner relationships across the organization to drive successful outcomes and alignment with corporate objectives
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key messages to senior management
  • Prepare presentations and provide recommendations to senior management. Assist in communications to the Board of Directors.
  • Gather, analyze and present internal marketing, operations and financial data in support of investor communications.
  • Responsible for aspects of the design, writing, production and coordination of investor relations communications, including earnings documents (press release, script and Q&A, IR deck), conference and roadshow materials, and other investor materials.
  • Answering research analyst questions using cross-functional resources
  • Works closely with finance team and business leaders to gather insight into business trends to update monthly forecasts and long-term planning models
  • Mentor junior staff to become strategic partners to business leaders
  • Participate in enterprise-wide projects as requested.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, practices, and theories, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards, as well as experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Understanding of financial risk management principles and strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate various types of risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the organization's industry, including familiarity with regulatory bodies and reporting standards.
  • Ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth plans, as well as experience in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Familiarity with treasury management practices, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, debt financing, and investment strategies.
  • Understanding of the broader business environment, industry trends, and competitive landscape to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret financial data, perform financial analysis, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Effective leadership and team management skills to lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and driving results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate financial information and insights to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify complex financial issues, analyze root causes, and develop innovative solutions to address challenges and drive performance improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including finance team members, senior executives, investors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency in negotiation and influencing skills to collaborate with stakeholders and drive consensus on financial decisions and strategies.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate financial data and analysis into actionable insights and recommendations to support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Strong decision-making skills to evaluate financial opportunities and risks, make informed decisions, and prioritize initiatives to achieve financial goals.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance/Investment Banking/Private Equity, with 4+ years of management experience or leading teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred, MBA a plus
  • Investor relations or capital markets experience a plus, but not required
  • Experience in supporting major functional areas within an organization, with experience in financial analysis, headcount/resource management and business metric reporting
  • Experience within the Healthcare industry necessary, value-based care experience a plus
  • Self-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace
  • Strong sense of intellectual curiosity, great attitude, and passion for leading teams and building strong relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to establish strong partnerships with all levels of management both internally and externally
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively, both in teams and independently, in order to manage multiple tasks and/or projects with hard deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environment, strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to identify and implement process improvement capabilities

PHYSICAL WORKING REQUIREMENTS:

The position involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, extensive computer use, and phone interaction. Additionally, the role may require occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds for office supplies or equipment.
