Agropur is looking for a Business Process Risk Credit & Collection Specialist to join its team in St-Hubert.
As a Business Process Risk Credit & Collection Specialist, you will play a key role in continuous improvement and digital transformation. You will analyze and optimize processes, participate in strategic projects, and act as a superuser of IT systems. In addition to your process and project responsibilities, you will support the team in managing credit and collection issues, provide coaching, and may provide functional supervision. This position will allow you to leverage your technical expertise, leadership, and collaborative skills to help achieve management objectives.

Annual bonus plan;
Salary scale 005: $82,600 to $103,200 (The base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)
What this role entails:
Act as an advisory role in credit risk management and collections
Stay informed about the economy, market trends, and share relevant information
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Assess credit risk for major accounts and/or export clients and recommend credit limits and payment terms
Ensure that accounts requiring credit insurance are covered by an insurer
Conduct solvency interviews with clients when necessary and obtain required financial documentation
Negotiate securities and guarantees when needed to support credit granting
Perform supplier risk analysis and provide recommendations based on cases and needs
Support credit and collections analysts and advisors in credit analysis or collection resolution when required
Monitor overdue accounts under your governance to optimize recovery and ensure compliance with policies to minimize losses and delays
Ensure established targets are met
Act as a super-user for various platforms and IT systems, technical tools, and master customer data fields related to credit and collections (Data Steward Delegate)
Recommend and actively contribute to continuous improvement, updates of policies, and business processes
Provide training and coaching
Prepare and draft various reports, including performance reports
Participate in special projects and system implementations
Prepare and recommend provisions for bad debts and/or write-offs to your superior
Provide functional supervision when required
Assume the responsibilities of Credit Managers during absences or vacation periods
What you need to join our team:
12 years of experience in credit, collections, and credit risk analysis
CCP certification from the Canadian Credit Institute or an equivalent designation
Experience in the agri-food industry
Experience in export credit and complex accounts
Experience in financial statement analysis and conducting solvency interviews
Proficiency in customer master data structure (Client Master Data)
Proficiency in SAP FIORI and Oracle
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP)
Experience in documentation and report writing
