Summary:
As an Application Tech Support Practitioner, you will act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. You will be dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world-class systems running. With your deep product knowledge, you will accurately define client issues and design resolutions. Your typical day will involve providing ongoing support to clients, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring smooth system operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-• Develop, design, and maintain highly available and scalable databases.
• Resolve production database issues including database tuning, optimization, and database recovery.
• Perform MySQL installation, upgrades, data migration across homogeneous and heterogeneous multiple database server architectures/systems.
• Monitor the performance of production databases, identify areas where performance needs to be improved and provide fixes/solutions for the performance issues.
• Develop database tools to automate existing database tasks.
• Respond appropriately to emergency technical support situations and produce quick and effective solutions to database technical problems under high pressure.
• Work with database personnel to design physical and logical databases to support present / future business application.
• Troubleshooting database & performance issues and query optimization at database level enhancing overall system responsiveness.
• Monitor and analyze database logs, addressing issues to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Good exposure of logical backup and recovery methods.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Experience in working with managed databases on the cloud like AWS RDS MySQL and Aurora.
- Experience in incremental backup and schedule backup.
- Experience with MySQL and Managing Aurora MySQL Cluster.
- Expertise in snapshot, import/export, and DB optimization with the help of explained plans.
- Expertise in database migration from MyISAM format to Innodb storage engine to increase performance and betterment of integrity constraints.
- Experience in performance tuning, MySQCircular, Master/Master and Master/Slave Replication.
- Experience in database backup and restore.
- Experienced in upgrading MySQL/MariaDB server using in-place upgrade method for minor releases and logical upgrade method for major releases followed by MySQL/MariaDB Upgrade utility.
- Strong technical knowledge in AWS RDS, Azure PaaS MySQL, Aurora MySQL.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in MySQL Database Administration.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full-time education is required.
-Should be flexible for 24/7 environment Lead/handle P1/P2 calls.
