At Hogan Lovells, the Practice Specialist supports the core business and administrative operations of a legal practice, serving as a primary point of contact for client invoice inquiries and engagement letters. The role is central to maintaining accurate documentation, supporting financial and client-facing processes, and ensuring the efficient day‑to‑day operation of the practice.
This position brings a strategic, solutions‑oriented approach to operational planning, business development support, and process improvement, helping align administrative operations with practice priorities and broader firm objectives. The Practice Specialist exercises sound judgment, discretion, and collaboration in a fast‑paced, confidential environment and is a key contributor to practice success.
Experience and Education
Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., inclusive of a one‑hour lunch. Hours may vary by location. The firm operates on a four‑day in‑office schedule.
In San Francisco, the expected base salary range for this role is $124,500 to $138,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
