About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Sterilisation Processing Department. The technical aide will act as a resource as applicable for other members of the Sterile Processing Centre team. The main function of this position will be to process all equipment used directly for patient care.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled, energetic and experienced Sterilisation Technician who possess a passion for patient centered care. We welcome applications from people who completed a Sterilisation Services Certificate III from the DOH or TAFE. The incumbent will also have a strong commitment to customer service.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
3. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them
4. Current or working toward Sterilising Services Certificate III and demonstrated knowledge of the workflow and processes of Sterilisation
5. Good communication skills, both written and oral including the ability to listen to and undertake direction
6. Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and strict time frames in a fast-paced environment
7. Understanding of Infection Prevention and Control guidelines, National Sterilisation standards AS/NZ 4187 and WH&S requirements.
8. Ability to work a 7-day 24 hour rotating roster.
