As part of a diverse and hardworking team of professionals, specialists, and engineers, you will develop strategic procurement solutions and complete day to day tactical purchasing functions for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of supply chain operations, driving organizational and policy change to enhance Blue Origin’s bottom-line.

Our Supply Chain Subcontract Administrator will be a team member of the SOW Subcontractor labor (aka SOW Consultant) and Professional Services team. Key candidate attributes to facilitate success in this role include influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving.  We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Key Skills and Experience:

  • You will ensure program requirements are appropriately prioritized and implemented to meet the needs of Blue Origin.   
  • You will need to become competent in Blue Origin Supply Chain compliance standards, strategies, and initiatives.
  • The successful candidate will have, excellent oral and written skills, and solid communication skills. 
  • You will also have experience preparing and issuing Requests for Proposal, performing cost analysis in support of proposals, and have developed negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations. 
  • You have experience in constructing various contracting types for major procurement activities to meet the requirements of the programs and needs of the business to include continuous improvement initiatives, and identification of opportunities for enhanced efficiencies. 
  • You will support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved to include delivery of production materials that are on time, within budget and meet technical performance requirements.
  • You will oversee subcontractor invoices and payments. Handle SOW subcontractor modifications and resolves disputes.
  • You will conduct source selection and apply negotiation strategies for contract terms and conditions, milestones, renewal and termination schedules, end of life cycle management, and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related industry experience.
  • Level 3 Role - Requires 5+ years of experience
  • Level 4/Senior Role - Requires 8+ years of experience
  • Experience with SOW Subcontractors, subcontracting, Professional Services and related products/services of varying degrees of technical and contractual complexity.
  • Understanding of US Government and non-US Government / Commercial acquisitions
  • Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience with most Contract Types (Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus)
  • Maintain compliant and accurate files and data records.
  • Strong analytical skills, data driven with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics.
  • Interprets and applies company, policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, SOX Compliance.
  • Create and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
  • Must have top notch people and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Data such as specifications & source control drawings.
  • An eagerness to see opportunities, find solutions, implement plans, and evaluate results critically and expediently.
  • Highly analytical and critical thinker.
  • Maintains passion for solving problems from end-to-end.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload.
  • Track record of working in an ambiguous environment and ability to define processes that can scale.
  • Adept at working with different systems and making recommendations on improvements for both systems and processes.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.


 

Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $93,240.00-$130,536.00;WA applicants is $93,240.00-$130,536.00
