Position Overview: Fortna is seeking a highly skilled Global Commodity Manager to oversee the sourcing and management of field installation labor and associated services. This role will focus on optimizing outsourced labor models and contingent workforce solutions for system installations on job sites, as well as managing installation support commodities, including electrical and mechanical components. The Global Commodity Manager will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies that ensure cost efficiency, supply chain resilience, and alignment with project timelines. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of labor and installation services into Fortna’s project-based operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commodity Strategy Development: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, focusing on cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and supply continuity.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring alignment with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
  • Cost Management: Lead cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation, value analysis, and supplier innovation, ensuring long-term savings while maintaining supply security.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed on commodity price trends, global supply dynamics, and potential risks.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with global supply chains, including geopolitical, financial, and market volatility risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align commodity strategies with business needs and technical requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on process optimization, innovation, and Lean principles within the commodity sourcing function.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage ERP and business analytics tools to track commodity performance, monitor spend, and drive data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Procurement, with 2 years in Strategic Sourcing, preferably in contingent labor based procurement.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of global supply markets, commodity trends, and procurement best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and data analytics tools.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or similar are a plus.

The base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $151,100.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
