The Tax Associates work on various tasks that include retrieving and processing the assessment and tax bills, property setups, assisting in market analysis, and appeal-related work by following the set Quality Controls. The position's primary focus is to provide outstanding tax services while professionally representing the Firm.

Duties and responsibilities:  as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

  • Create a positive team experience.

Client:

  • Provide project work status updates to the India and the US teams proactively and respond to requests timely.
  • Gather data, update the system, and obtain client approval as needed.
  • Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
  • Prepares client project status reports
  • Creates files for clients and projects utilizing Microsoft® Excel and Access.

  • Utilizes strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Tracking and logging assessment notices, payment administration, appeal & refund processing.
  • Performs the duties as assigned and completes them with a sense of urgency and confidentiality where needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Finance/ Commerce/ Accounting/ Business.
  • 0-1 years of experience in US Taxation.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

Work Environment:

  • 40+ hour standard workweek requirement.
  • Candidate should be willing to work on any shift
  • A reasonable amount of overtime will be required during peak season
  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Long periods of sitting while working at a computer.
  • The position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm.
