This position will manage the day-to-day activities of the EFT investigations team, which handles the exception processing and research of electronic payments. Provide overall supervision for daily Operations activities ensuring delivery of committed outputs and meeting established deadlines Obtain and develop working knowledge of all functions and processes related to activities managed. Monitor and ensure the creation, maintenance and accuracy of department documentation for all functions, processes and procedures are current. Ensure staff is properly trained and developed to carry out daily responsibilities and effectively service business partners. Create and utilize effective production monitoring methods as it relates to productivity/quality/efficiency. Identify, hire, develop and retain top talent. Frequently interact with associates (formal and informal) as a way to develop a productive, engaged work force. Create environment of high performance through recognition and reward efforts meaningful to the recipient. Manage underperformance through documented Performance Improvement Process. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal/external customers including 3rd party vendors. Develop and monitor controls which reduce risk to the organization. Support and drive a culture of ownership throughout the organization. Provide a high level of expertise to business partners and help them provide TUCE to UMB customers. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience in banking operations
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, managers, and business partners
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate in writing
  • Demonstrates ability to actively lead team activities or work initiatives
  • Demonstrates ability to be detail oriented, and ensure work produced is of high quality
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively manage a team of associates
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively participate in business partner meetings
  • Demonstrates ability to make sound decisions in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrates advanced problem solving skills Demonstrates excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $51,480.00 - Maximum: $119,200.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
