Job Summary:
The Coordinator Revenue Cycle Project functions under the direction of the PAS Quality Assurance and Onboarding Director. The Coordinator Cycle Project is responsible for project coordination of policy and procedure creation for Patient Access Services and revision for Revenue Cycle for all 11 facilities. Actively supports and develops IT and Revenue Cycle policies, procedures, and documentation. Ability to take IT and Operational workflows and develop or coordinate comprehensive policy and procedures. Oversees project teams to ensure consistency with the creation, training, distribution, and maintenance.
The Coordinator Revenue Cycle Project is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Patient Access Services Training/Onboarding to include i.e.: Registration Essentials, Benefits and Precertification, Financial Counseling, Mentor Essentials, Supervisor/Manager Essentials and/or Workqueue Analyst. Actively supports and develops computer-based learning as needed as well as monthly self-studies. Ability to take IT and Operational workflows and assist with coordinating the development of comprehensive training.
Promotes excellent customer service and strong communication skills to assist in the success and compliance of all policy and procedures. Works with outside departments to develop, educate and train on current policy and procedure process. Works with other members of the Revenue Cycle staff and other WHS personnel to accomplish the goals established for the project. Requires knowledge of systems analysis. Fundamental knowledge of project management concepts. Participates in project planning sessions. Ability to establish project goals, milestones, and procedures. Ability to monitor project progress. Able to manage projects that entail multiple components with a high level of complexity.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Actively supports and develops Revenue Cycle policies, procedures, and staff accountability documentation.
* Responsible for documenting changes by completing multiple spreadsheets and providing policy acknowledgement to department leaders with summary of changes to educate staff and acknowledge understanding of policies and procedure content and how the information impacts their job functions. Documentation is necessary to meet regulatory requirements to show staff education is provided in a timely manner.
* Responsible for maintaining notification records.
* Responsible for updating Departmental Website with finalized policies and procedures to include adding the new and removing the old.
* Provide documentation to system policy Administrator to add new or remove old standard and administrative policies and procedures.
* Responsible for maintaining electronic files and archiving electronic files.
* Responsible for maintaining original hard copy of the approved and signed policies and procedures as well as archiving revised or retired hard copies.
* Responsible for attending monthly policy and procedure meetings to validate and maintain documentation in conjunction with the PAS Quality Assurance and Onboarding Director, PAS Assistant Vice President and Revenue Cycle Vice President.
* Train staff on policy and procedure process. Provides on-going education as needed.
* Actively supports and develops Patient Access training
* Responsible for scheduling employees in all training classes.
* Build training classes in LMS system for enrollment and credit purposes for transcripts.
* Enroll and invite employees to scheduled classes.
* Create, maintain, and assign final exams for all training classes.
* Pull reports on exams, maintain spreadsheet for tracking and trending purposes and schedule any reviews for any employees that failed exam.
* Report exam results to employees and Leaders.
* Coordinate with Leadership on enrolling any employees that may be internal PAS transfers, on a PIP or employees returning from a leave of absence.
* Maintains new employee HFMA certifications.
* Coordinate all requests for training with PAS QA Trainers.
* Coordinate submission of monthly self-studies/CBLs with PAS QA Trainers and LMS team.
* Arranging monthly self-studies that will be assigned to employees by LMS team.
