Job purpose:

The C&C GPO Product Owner – Balance Sheet Reconciliations manages and is responsible for defining, standardizing, and optimizing reconciliation processes across regions. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in balance sheet account reconciliations while driving process improvements, automation, and strong internal controls in the GSK Close & Control organization.

The role helps to deliver the Finance vision, through continuous improvement mindset and compliance with global and local regulations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Driving and participating in global projects from the Close & Control,
  • Preparing the regular updates on the project statuses for senior leadership,
  • Working closely with C&C organization, risk & compliance, global process owners from other towers and multiple project teams to ensure the process and project deliverables,
  • Ensuring full compliance of process and projects with IFRS and SOX requirements,
  • Consolidation of information from GSK hubs (Poland, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Pakistan),
  • Review financial information against improvement opportunities,
  • Coordination of project governance meetings,
  • Sign-off of project phases,
  • Improvement of BSR Controls within the Master Controls Framework (MCF),
  • Ensure compliance with internal GSK policies,
  • Support remaining global process owners and project managers in Close & Control projects,
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing requested evidence if required.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent is required for this role.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance and accounts, Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, or ERP-related roles with strong focus on reconciliations.
  • Hands-on experience with financial tooling or reconciliation platforms and supporting integrations into ERP systems.
  • Experience working across matrixed teams and engaging stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Strong communication skills in English and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience of Close & Control tools (Blackline/Cadency/AICO, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) or other major ERP systems.
  • Experience with Blackline, reconciliation or close automation tools.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls, audit processes and compliance in a global environment.
  • Experience using data analysis or reporting tools (Power BI, Excel advanced skills).
  • Exposure to Agile ways of working or project delivery frameworks.
